          Extensive trial experience in district and county courts and in the federal district courts across Texas, having tried to conclusion more than 60 jury trials.  Most recently tried a case involving a truck-train collision before a jury of the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division.

          Extensive appellate experience, having handled more than 10 direct appeals and three mandamus actions.  Was lead counsel for one of the parties before the Texas Supreme Court in the seminal discovery case, National Tank Co. v. Brotherton.

          Extensive ancillary experience, including ten arbitrations tried to conclusion on a variety of topics; participation in more than 100 mediations; representation of juveniles charged with delinquency before the Juvenile Courts of Dallas County; handling more than 50 administrative trials, primarily before the former Texas Workers’ Compensation Commission; briefing on approximately 50 administrative appeals; and, the handling of several hundred preliminary conferences before the TWCC and its predecessor.

          Candidate for the Texas House of Representatives in 2002, from a district encompassing much of east Dallas.  Defeated in the primary.

          Married for 22 years to Linda Lee; together, they have two children:  Amanda, a 2008 graduate of Ursuline Academy, who will be a freshman this Fall at Seton Hill University in Pennsylvania; and Matthew, a sixth grader at Holy Trinity Catholic School.
